About us
Darcasis was six membered (now 4) dark metal band which plays melodic and variant darkmetal. You can find sharp guitar riffs and also quick blastbeat which suddenly turns into peaceful and calm melody of lullaby. Earlier we have been compared to for example Finnroll, Gloomy Grim and Dimmu Borgir [Serpent, Imperiumi]. Vocals are rough roaring and also clean for a while. Song themes varies among fantasy, scifi, horror, death and other dark things... Band members are: Jani Juppi – Vocals "MasterYuppi" Risto Aittola – Lead Guitar "Grandmandolin" Tomi Lappalainen – Guitar "Lapinmies" Juha Pärnänen – Bass "Rotth" Tuomas Puurtinen – Keyboards "Ksahn" Ville Karppinen – Drums "Achernar" We come from eastern Finland, Juva where band formed in 2002 from the ruins of earlier band called Bloodlust. Our musical production: 2003: Promo CD including intro + 3 songs 2005: Self produced full length CD-R called 'Synghynä aijcan'. 2007: Demo CD with 4 songs called 'Dancing with the flames'. 2008: Small budget music video from song 'Dancing with the flames'. 2010: Self produced full lenght album 'This world is falling'. Latest album 'This world is falling' includes 9 songs composed and played by Darcasis. It sounds more futuristic with synthezisers compared to earlier releases. Theme of this album is how mankind destroys itself at the end. The producer of this album is Ville Putkinen from studio "LongJohns" who has also recorded and mixed it with the band.
