About us
"Faux was formed in 2007 by Hannu, Jukka & Henri after their band Decoy decided to go for a nap. Hannu had been writing songs that didn't fit into Decoy's repertoire for some time with intention to start a new band at some point and Henri and Jukka were excited to jump on board. Their music is something genuine without too much thinking and twisting. Something that feels right and floats fluently out from their souls. So the outcome is a bit rock, a bit punk with some honest pop melodies." We grew up in the nineties so some things and bands made an impact on us back then and it's something that can be heard from our music. We are not re-inventing the wheel, just having a fucking great time with this one. *Sunday 30th of May 2010 update: We have finished the recording of the first ever Faux album in history. The ingredients are 12 new songs from Shangri-la Faux where we have been spending our holiday for the last couple of years.
